Tayronaka Ecological & Archaeological Journey

Walk through ancient terraces where history, culture and jungle meet.

Tayronaka is more than a destination — it's a living archive of the Sierra Nevada's ancestral past. This full-day journey blends archaeology, ecology and family-friendly adventure, designed for travelers who want to understand the land before they explore it.

After a comfortable pickup from your hotel, we begin a 50-minute walk along ecological trails guided by a bilingual specialist, arriving at ancient terraces once shaped by pre-Columbian hands. Along the way, you'll learn how the Tayrona people read this landscape long before it became a destination — and how their techniques still echo in the terrain today.

The day continues with a typical Caribbean lunch and free time to cool off in the crystal-clear waters of the Don Diego River, before an easy return in the afternoon. It's a rhythm built for families, curious minds and anyone who wants their adventure grounded in real history.
